Come and join us to sample life on the canal at Braunston at our Group Leaders Taster Trips Weekend.
 

 
We are once again hosting three days over a weekend in March, providing opportunity to sample everything your group can look forward to on a weekend or midweek residential trip with LNBP Community Boating.
 

Come aboard and experience it all for yourself

 
Our Taster Trips Days are the ideal chance to meet our team, come aboard and see our boats and their facilities, sample life on the canal and see what your group can expect to enjoy, and discuss potential requirements for your group.
 

 

  • Dates: Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd March 2020.
  • Day trip on our boats from Braunston to Norton Junction on the Grand Union Canal.
  • Experience working locks and a trip through the famous and historic Braunston Tunnel.
  • Sit back and enjoy the beauty of the Northamptonshire countryside.
  • Join us for the day, even stay overnight with us on the boats (we can also offer suggestions for local hotel accommodation)

 
Places for these Taster Trip Days are limited, available on a first come-first served basis, and restricted to two group leaders from any one group.

Last Wednesday we welcomed members from The Willoughby Society along for an evening trip on the Oxford Canal as part of our annual Community Days / Taster Trips programme.
 
The group, based in the neighbouring village of Willoughby – located a mile or so down the road from Braunston and just over the county border into Warwickshire – researches the village’s history and preserves and expands the village archive of documents, photographs, and other media.
With a close connection to Braunston and local history and heritage, a trip on the historic canal was right up their street.
 
The group certainly looked as if they enjoyed their time with us, and have kindly shared some pictures of their evening and experience with us.
 


 
Thank you everyone at the Willoughby Society for coming along and enjoying a lovely evening with us (and also for your kind words and vary generous donations). We hope to see you and your members again soon.
